Unleashing Innovation: The New Open Standard for Data Center Availability

02 June, 2016 | Presentation

Lex Coors, Interxion
Rob Bunger, Schneider Electric

The Green Grid’s upcoming Open Standard for Data Center Availability (OSDA) is a new metric that promises to modernize data center level classification, similar to how PUE modernized data center power usage.

The Green Grid began development of the new metric because today’s modern data centers require a dynamic availability model that will allow the information and communications technology (ICT) industry to continue embracing data center innovation while driving toward new levels of sustainability and energy efficiency.

In this webcast, Lex Coors and Rob Bunger introduce OSDA and explain how it will drive the key availability requirements of existing and future data centers. They also discuss how today’s fast-moving ICT industry has a continuous need for dynamically changing designs and power sources – and the ways OSDA will allow for related data center innovations.

Learn all about The Green Grid’s new OSDA, how ICT organizations will benefit from it, and how you can contribute to its development. Watch now!
