2016 Forum – Efficient IT Makes Sense But Why Are Enterprises Slow to Fully Adopt It

08 March, 2016 | Presentation

John Frey, Hewlett Packard Enterprise

IT equipment and data center infrastructure companies have made great strides in energy and resource efficiency over the last five years. These infrastructure improvements often provide great returns in terms of energy efficiency, utility cost reduction, and operational efficiency. However, customer IT organizations are often slow to adopt these efficiency improvements in their infrastructure. In this session, one of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s primary customer engagement technologists on efficient IT shares his perspectives that result from hundreds of customer engagements. He explores several barriers that keep enterprises from fully adopting efficient IT, then suggests practical steps that companies can take to encourage more widespread adoption of the techniques and tools, such as those developed by The Green Grid.
