Roundtable: How Effective Are European Data Center Monitoring Procedures
28 April, 2016

Watch now!

The Green Grid EMEA leadership team hosts its second virtual roundtable discussing the latest research into European data center usage.

The Green Grid's research in October 2015 found that only 29 percent of respondents were able to entirely quantify the environmental impact of their data centers despite the perceived pressure from EU policymakers, associations, and standardization. A huge 97 percent see areas in which their data center monitoring, including energy efficiency, can be improved.

There are clear tensions regarding how data center managers monitor and measure their resource efficiency and environmental impact.

Key findings to discuss during the series include:

  • A huge 97 percent see areas in which their data center monitoring, including energy efficiency, can be improved
  • Two-thirds (67 percent) of respondents believe increased investment can improve monitoring measures, but 38 percent think more board support is required, and the same percentage think more time should be spent reviewing the data created from monitoring
  • The majority (96 percent) of respondents in Germany say that they can or are working towards quantifying the impact of data center operations on their organization's overall environmental footprint, with 82 percent of respondents in France reporting the same

Don't miss the chance to hear perspectives from throughout the information and communications technology industry on key issues affecting data center efficiency in Europe.
