This white paper aims to help Japan's domestic data centers improve their energy efficiency activities through case studies about successful efficiency projects throughout the country. These case studies take into account situations such as geography, regulations, culture, and operating management standards.

Organizations can use the case studies to make sound decisions about how to undertake energy efficiency improvements in their own data centers. Organizations can gain insight about some of the positive – and often innovative – steps that the highlighted companies have taken and can determine how best to balance risk and potential improvements with regard to total cost of ownership, reduced environmental impact, and greater overall efficiency.
