The Green Grid Singapore Work Group Gains Momentum
The Green Grid Singapore Work Group is in a very enterprising phase underpinned by a dedicated steering committee that includes board and contributing members.
The Work Group gained demonstrable momentum from the following events held in Singapore during September and October 2015.
DATACENTERDYNAMICS CONVERGED SE ASIA – SEPTEMBER 15-16, 2015
The Green Grid Singapore utilized the DatacenterDynamics Converged SE Asia event, an integral part of Singapore Data Center Week 2015, to increase awareness and entice new members. The booth attracted a meaningful number of industry guests with more than 2,000 attending the overall event.
Jack Pouchet, The Green Grid board member, presented PUE ration (PUEr) during day 1 of the event and was a key member of the panel that closed out the day’s events. Digital Realty hosted the Singapore Work Group steering committee members on September 17, where Jack generously re-presented PUEr.
DATA CENTER WORLD CLOUD ASIA – OCTOBER 28-29, 2015
Suntec City hosted more than 5,000 attendees at this two-day event where The Green Grid Singapore leveraged a large audience to build further awareness and engage potential new members. The booth was well patronized, and board member Chang Tsann presented the Data Center Maturity Model on day 2 of the event.
OTHER SINGAPORE WORK GROUP NEWS
The Singapore Work Group has numerous projects underway relevant to the local geography, including contributing to Singapore Government Green Data Center initiatives, and Jose Castaneda, a board member, is contributing his expertise to The Green Grid’s global PUEr Work Group.
