Presentation
Network equipment, airflow straightening - the importance of 3D thermal airflow monitoring in data centers. Summary: With the high density mounting of ICT equipment installed in data centers, dealing with the increase in power consumption has become a major issue. Operational problems due to thermal damage are increasing in data center operation equipment. In the first half, we will introduce Steps 1, 2, and 3 of best practices for energy efficiency and heat problem resolution based on thermal airflow analysis and physical countermeasures. The technical points are cold capping inside the rack and optimal distribution of cold air. In the second half, we will introduce an overview of Interop/Shownet's actual countermeasures and evaluation (2015 runner-up, 2017 special award winner), Osaka University CMC's airflow control operation design, and other examples that can be made public. The technical points are model-based analysis for visual monitoring of air conditioning environments (3D temperature distribution visualization) - thermal anomaly detection alarms - air conditioning control, and automation of system operations.
