Raising the data centre operating temperature increases the number of hours and days a year that economizers can be used, reducing operating costs. Though what effect does this have on the reliability and energy consumption of the IT equipment itself? This session looks at the scope for increasing inlet temperatures, the effect on IT equipment, and what ASHRAE has to say on the subject.
