Partnerships between the Federal Government and private firms are paramount to the success of energy efficiency in the ICT industry. Two programs that are important in driving that success, and how The Green Grid collaborates with both, are discussed in this session:

β€’The Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) works with key individuals to accomplish energy change within organizations by bringing expertise from all levels of project and policy implementation to enable Federal Agencies to meet their energy related goals and to provide energy leadership to the country.
β€’The ENERGY STAR program is a highly successful, voluntary U.S. Federal Government energy efficiency initiative that relies on input from external stakeholders, including many from the private sector.
