Technical Forum 2009 – Proper Sizing of Cooling Loads

03 February, 2009 | Presentation

Michael Patterson, Intel

The proper sizing of the power and cooling infrastructure is one of the most important design choices for a data center owner. Incorrectly sizing the power or cooling load, in the best case, causes inefficiencies and wasted energy; while in the worst case can create capacity problems and operational issues. This Technical Forum 2009 presentation reviews how IT equipment information has been used to size this infrastructure.
