Traveling an efficient DevOps path with fewer detours

I’ve been flying a lot to Raleigh lately. Although I am waiting for the day when I can get a direct flight, at least I can book a flight that is an end-to-end trip on the same plane. Staying on the same plane is better for my sanity, and I am fairly certain that my luggage will arrive when I do.  These Southwest flights are pretty good, and now that I have mastered online check-in, I am a pro that is even occasionally rewarded with a free drink ticket!

Although this is my standard end-to-end, even smoother travel journeys are possible. An Uber can meet you at the airport, with an e-ticket for the local subway and a map to your morning meeting tucked inside your smartphone.  Then, of course, the payment and expense system would all be electronic and facilitated by your phone. The global travel industry has been at the vanguard of digital innovation and it is leading the way in terms of ecosystem evolution.

End-to-end capabilities for IT

A seamless travel journey is possible with automated software applications, integrated using external APIs and back-end systems of record that must be agile to support rapid updates and frequent iterations.  With the plethora of open and proprietary tools out there, how do you make that delivery of software the best end-to-end experience for your IT organization?

We can help you with that challenge.  IBM DevOps solutions for Z are bringing emerging technologies to digitally transform software delivery capabilities so that you can be agile and responsive to business needs.  An end-to-end DevOps for IBM Z solution uses a secure toolset that is designed from the ground up. You can see how that integration provides a seamless productive experience, demonstrated in these 3 videos depicting a day in the life of a business analyst, developer and release manager.

DevOps capabilities provide a path to achieving agile development, quality integration and continuous delivery. IBM offers a full portfolio of cognitive DevOps capabilities that deliver the IT and business benefits you should expect from a DevOps adoption.

With mobile, web, distributed and cloud platforms that depend on integration for efficiency and ease-of-use, you can count on these solutions to deliver the technology and platform spectrum you need.

IBM DevOps solutions provide an end-to-end path to modernization and digital transformation.  By following a tool chain that is open and connected, you will be able to respond to business requirements from design through production, and drive innovation with agility and confidence.

Our broad platform coverage was not accomplished by lashing together formerly disparate tools, but by designing breadth, depth and capability to support your needs from the ground up. For a closer look at the capabilities and unique differentiators read some of the blogs from our “only IBM” series:

How is your software delivery journey going?  You want to be connected for ease, but open for innovation.  An end-to-end software solution will use the best material and ensure minimal costs to create the best infrastructure for the demands of the business.  It is smart and efficient.

Our end-to-end application lifecycle management tools provide a simpler, more streamlined experience, and at the end of the trip you want to feel productive and smart, not detoured with no luggage. We’ve all been there!  Just as the travel industry is bringing about transformation to meet and exceed the traveler’s expectations, we are working to provide that end-to-end enterprise software delivery experience that provides competitive advantage and quite frankly makes your life easier.
