I have really enjoyed speaking at the last six HPE Discovers in the United States and Europe. These events drew tens of thousands of people including customers and partners with HPE showcasing their latest in technology. This year, this event, like many others, has transformed into a virtual event where you can watch live and on-demand keynotes, sessions, demos, hands-on labs, and more.

Additionally, you can watch these events for free this year. My session will cover intelligent edge computing and the HPE/Schneider Electric joint technology and offers.

On Dec 05, 2016, HPE and Schneider Electric announced a partnership to produce a joint architecture for micro data center solutions to power the intelligent edge. In 2016, both companies were aligned in thinking there were tremendous benefits by moving computing to the network edge, but there were no offers or supply chain in place. Over the past few years, the companies have worked together to produce the HPE Edge Centers in 6U, 23U, and 42U sizes.

Enable IT Anywhere with Integrated Solutions

In my presentation, The Intelligent Edge – How to Enable IT Anywhere and Everywhere, I will get into detail about how these integrated solutions are designed with IT (servers, storage, networking) and physical infrastructure (rack enclosure, UPS, PDU, security and environmental monitoring). My session will cover the integrated software with automated workload that moves the workloads and virtual servers around to increase availability. I will highlight the benefits of predictive analytics to decrease failures, leading to higher uptime and increased efficiency. And I look forward to discussing emerging edge use cases including MEC or Mobile Edge Computing. The first MEC deployments are a combination of traditional telco and pre5G/5G but will gradually more to more IT based servers. Other use cases will address the Workspace Edge, the Industrial Edge, and Analytics and AI Edge including IVA or Integrated Video Analytics. And I will cover how a tethered cloud, perhaps one like the 6U Azure Stack Hub, will be coming to a data center near you soon.

Be sure to register today – I look forward to interacting with you during this virtual event!
