This presentation provides highlights of projects currently underway in the Green Grid Association and discusses how goals for energy efficiency and the effective use of resources to deliver world-class sustainability and application availability, can be accomplished when customers need to deliver IT solutions that are more complex, distributed, secure, and cost effective than ever in the past, while assuring that combinations of grid and renewable energy sources can meet your needs for availability.  

Roger Tipley

Roger Tipley is the vice president for industry and government alliances in Schneider Electric’s IT Division with global responsibilities to drive improvements in industry standards and government regulations.

As a founding director of The Green Grid, he has spent many years as a board officer and content contributor to The Green Grid. Roger also participates in industry-influencing associations, such as the Information Technology Industry Council and DigitalEurope, and has contributed to the development of ENERGY STAR and EPEAT standards. In the past, he also served as president and chairman of the board for the non-profit PCI-SIG.

To date, the US Patent and Trademark Office has granted Roger 22 patents.
