February 28 - March 1, 2011
The Department of Energy (DOE), in collaboration with The Green Grid, is proud to announce the next Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP) Generalist training/exam in conjunction with The Green Grid Technical Forum 2011.
The DOE “Save Energy Now” program has partnered with the industry to develop a process leading to practitioners qualified to evaluate the energy status and efficiency opportunities in data centers. The DCEP Program is driven by the fact that significant knowledge, training, and skills are required to perform accurate energy assessments. Target groups for participating include employees of property management companies, engineering consulting firms, service companies, data center end users, energy agencies, colleges, and utilities.
The DCEP training/exam will take place at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara in Santa Clara, CA on February 28 (8 am-5 pm) followed by the exam on March 1 (8 am-11 am) at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The non-refundable fee for the training/exam is $700 including lunch and refreshments.
DOE decided to co-locate this DCEP training with a marquee industry event hosted by The Green Grid, at which DOE is holding a roundtable lunch discussion. The Green Grid Technical Forum will be held on March 1-2, 2011 and features key industry and government speakers from around the globe. Please note that only the Generalist training/exam will be offered at this time. For those that qualify, however, the HVAC-Specialist training/exam will be offered throughout 2011.
More Program information and a listing of current DCEPs can be found on the following DOE website: http://www1.eere.energy.gov/industry/datacenters/dc_cep.html
