Join The Green Grid

The Green Grid is please to offer a new level of membership for Individuals. More information is available below and included in the press release.

There are four ways to join: as a Contributor Member, General Member, Associate Member, or Individual Member. Which level of membership is right for you will depend on how much influence your organization wants to have in driving the mission of the organization.

Contributor Membership - $25,000/$10,000*

Contributor Members provide the highest level of input into the organization’s work, including:

• Participating in any committee or work group, with the option to serve in an elected chair or vice chair role
• Voting rights in the Technical Committee, Liaison Committee, Communications Committee and/or associated work groups
• Participating in the development and creation of technical proposals and specifications

Contributor Members also receive all General Membership benefits.

*Companies with annual gross revenues less than $100M are eligible to join as a Contributor member for $10,000 annually. As part of the application process, companies will need to submit the Contributor Revenue verification form.

General Members assist in the development of the organization’s work, and receive the following benefits:

• Attending and participating in all General Meetings of The Green Grid
• Reviewing and commenting on specifications and guidelines prior to adoption by The Green Grid
• Entering the members-only Web site with exclusive, early access to documents before they are published
• Accessing support documentation and materials concerning The Green Grid specifications, test suites and IP licensing
• Participating in The Green Grid's global expansion initiatives
• Including your company name in the members list on The Green Grid Web site and in other promotional materials
• Promoting membership with exclusive use of The Green Grid Member logo, the Tradeshow in a Box program and select media relations activities

Associate Memberships are designed for government agencies and academic institutions that want to provide input to the organization’s findings and recommendations. Associate members receive all of the same benefits of General Members with the exception of reviewing and commenting on specifications and guidelines prior to adoption by The Green Grid.

Individual membership provides an opportunity for individuals to join and participate in The Green Grid activities. The Green Grid created this new membership level in response to strong demand from the business computing industry, in particular the growing population of consultants, analysts and professionals who are passionate about IT resource efficiency. 

Employees of a member company cannot join as Individual Members, since all employees of a member company are already eligible for member benefits. To see if your company is a member, review the Members List.

Individual members receive the following benefits:

• Admittance to the members-only Web site with exclusive, early access to documents before they are published to the public, as well as access to members-only resources at no additional cost
• Participation in committee and work groups, as well as global expansion initiatives
• Participation in all General Meetings of The Green Grid
• Participation in members-only webcasts on technical topics such as technology, market studies, and roadmaps
• One complimentary registration pass for The Green Grid Forum (a $250 value)
• Exclusive use of The Green Grid Individual member logo
