EMEA Liaison Work Group

Charter

  • Mission Statement
    • A Regional Liaison Work Group is expected to focus on such engagements to fill gaps or accelerate the mission in its region but with the agreement of the Liaison Committee is not limited to that region. The Work Group provides strategic insight, thought leadership and operational execution on matters related to liaisons in its region on behalf of The Green Grid.
      • Proposing new liaison relationship
      • Developing proposed alliance agreements or Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
      • Creating and maintaining work registers for review and approval by Liaison Committee.
      • Providing either primary or supporting Liaison to an external organization as approved by the Liaison Committee
  • Structure
    • A Regional Liaison Work Group reports to the TGG Liaison Committee
    • A Chair and Vice Chair of the Work Group will be to be staffed by Board or Contributor Member companies
    • TGG regional team will ballot to recommend (nominate) a Chair or co-Chair(s) of the regional workgroup as needed in support of its Mission
    • The Chair of the Liaison Committee will appoint the Work Group Chair
    • Chair of the regional Work Group will appoint the regional Vice Chair
    • Chair or Vice Chair of the regional Work Group will attend Liaison Committee calls and meetings
  • In-Scope:
    • Managing alliances as directed by the Liaison Committee
    • Developing proposed liaison agreements or MOUs as directed by the Liaison Committee
    • Creating and maintaining work registers for review and approval by Liaison Committee.
    • Providing either primary or supporting Liaison Manager to external organization as approved by the Liaison Committee
    • Making recommendations as identified to the Chair for new relationships
    • Maintaining the relationship with the Alliance Partner as well as keeping the contact information and work register, if one exists, up to date.
    • Reporting on the current status of the alliance organization at each Liaison meeting
    • Observing all bylaws and agreements of The Green Grid
  • Out-of-Scope:
    • Coordinating the creation of a formal alliance proposal and for driving the alliance process
    • Committing to technology or communications deliverables outside of the liaison agreement, or Liaison Committee and Board of Directors approvals
  • Criteria for Success
    • Delivery of work register defined deliverables of managed liaisons
    • Span of influence of TGG positions, metrics and standards reflected in alliance organizations positions
    • Leveraging of alliance organizations expertise to support TGG mission
  • Deliverables
    • Creating and maintaining work registers for review and approval by Liaison Committee.
    • Develop proposed alliance agreements or MOUs
    • Monthly report outs on activities to Liaison Committee
    • Manage ongoing relationships with alliance organizations
  • Internal Collaboration
    • The Regional Work Group will rely on ongoing internal liaisons with the other groups within The Green Grid to ensure its activities reflect the direction of the organization.
    • The Regional Liaison Work Group may leverage General Members for additional non-voting participants as required to manage relationships and develop deliverables following approval of the Liaison Committee and the Board of Directors as required.
  • About the Group
    • Typical Meeting Schedules
      • The Regional Work Group holds at minimum, monthly conference calls to check progress and strategic alignment internal to its own activities and external to the rest of The Green Grid. This call ensures members have the latest updates on other work in progress within the overall Liaison Committee
    • Communication Mechanisms
      • The Group receives regular updates on the activities of the Liaison Committee.
      • Regional Work Group holds at minimum, monthly conference calls
      • On at least a monthly basis the Liaison Work Groups will report the regional status and activities to the Liaison Committee
    • Level of involvement
      • Work Group members are expected to attend the majority of conference calls, face-to-face sessions and online forums annually. Additionally, group members are expected to participate actively in Liaison Committee activities.
    • Work Group officers
      • The Work Group will have two leadership positions in the form of Chair and Vice Chair. The Work Group may create other positions to accomplish Work Group business at the request of the Work Group and approval of the Liaison Committee Chair.
